A few things I wrote

Note: This is a bit of a side road from the intention of this blog, but I didn't want to create a new blog just for this.

These are my originals. Hope you enjoy :)

I'll also try to translate this into another language (English, French, or Spanish) and hope to maintain the same intention.

Rainy afternoon (May 12, 2008)

The tar-topped roads appear beautifully darkened and cleansed by the light rains; giving it an even darker appearance are the black water-laden clouds above. The trees lined up in all shades of green along the way, leaves sprouting tells me spring is hand-in-glove with May gloom. It's one of the many beautiful scenes my eye can ever behold.

Click (Nov 29, 2008)

As my life streams through this brutal city traffic

At times I pause at the lights to catch a click

A click in the moment of time

That will last forever in my mind

Life (GO Transit, Mt. Pleasant; Dec 2, 2016)

Life's a greeting, but it's fleeting

It's inviting, but biting

It's a pleasure with a measure

Here today, gone tomorrow

Fall (Metro Arts Challenge; Aug 31, 2017; not selected)

It was fall in Toronto

For all not into

Find a place to escape

Perhaps a warmer landscape?!

Sans-abri (Square Victoria metro. Montreal; Sep 18, 2018)

Nous sommes sans-abri

Vous avez pas compris

Tous sont isoles dans les tetes

Mais, nous sommes isoles dans le monde

Translation:

Homeless

We are the homeless

You haven't understood

Everyone is alone in their heads

But, we are alone in the world

New McDonald's Farm (May 21, 2019)

New McDonald had a farm... e i e i o

It was called an IT farm... e i e i o

On his farm he had PC and Mac

And a few programmers in the back

Bayek (Nov 17, 2020)

A rhyme I created to play with my nephews; the character Bayek is from a video game 'Assassin's Creed'

I once knew a man named Bayek

I saw him on the river in his kayak

He had a bow and an arrow to kill Sekmet

With the help of his friend Ahmet
